Kansas State Requirements for CNAs

In Kansas, those seeking to be certified and listed in the state registry undergo a state-approved nurse aide training program, consisting of 90 hours.  The 90-hour curriculum is broken up into 25 units, covering topics such as:

  • Meeting Resident Needs: Communication
  • The Resident’s Care Plan
  • Physical Changes Accompanying Aging
  • First Aide in the Adult Care Home

Upon completion, candidates must pass the certified nurse aide test. Once the Kansas state nurse aide test has been passed, candidates will apply to be listed with the Kansas Nurse Aide Registry.
